| |
Strategic Performance Group, LLC (SPG) has completed a wide variety of feasibility studies for clients.
To provide some perspective about our capabilities and diversified interests, the following list describes
projects that are representative of our capabilities. Projects and services undertaken by SPG have lasted
from a few days to several months. Our clients represent all types of organizations including large
corporations, medium size companies, entrepreneurial start-ups, and non-profit organizations.
- Comprehensive market feasibility study was completed for a start-up company entering the
remote auto diagnostics and telematics industry. Report included strengths and weaknesses
of each competitor, product features, pricing, distribution channels used, marketing strategies,
sales coverage, market share, etc. The report was used by client to access venture capital markets.
- Entrepreneur requested that SPG investigate the market feasibility for establishing an upscale
athletic club and sports performance training center. An assessment of the athletic club
industry including trends over a 20 year period were included along with a competitor analysis of
clubs within the desired location. In addition, over 100 interviews were conducted with prospective
members to assess amenities and programs and interest level in joining an upscale athletic club.
The market feasibility was used to develop a comprehensive business plan for acquiring
financing for the project.
- Start-up organization developed a biopesticide used to reduce/eliminate root rot in corn.
With our assistance comprehensive interviews were conducted within the seed corn industry to gauge
interest level in the concept. This information was subsequently used to obtain venture capital
funding resulting in the successful commercialization of the patented product.
- Comprehensive business plan was developed for two entrepreneurs seeking to start-up a
structural steel fabrication company. The plan included a thorough analysis of the
industry including growth trends, market segmentation and competitors. As a result, $2 million
was raised from investors for the business start-up.
- An entrepreneur with two U. S. patents on a unique way of processing whole grains
was seeking a market feasibility study and a business plan to acquire funds for the new business venture.
With SPG's assistance a market feasibility study was completed recommending a GO decision. A business plan
was developed by SPG and used for venture financing. Subsequently, the SPG principal was elected to the
Board of Directors.
- Industrial manufacturer with revenues of over $1 billion wanted an objective third party
assessment of a product manufactured by one of its divisions. This included growth trends, market share
analysis, key drivers, strengths and weaknesses, etc. Options under consideration by the parent company
included investing over $1 million in new equipment, divesting the division or acquiring related products
to complement its existing line. Market study entailed interviews with over 150 industry sources including
industry experts, trade associations, competitors, distributors and users of the product. SPG recommended
the capital investment of $1 million. A year later the company contacted SPG again and wanted another
independent review to assess spending an additional $2 million on equipment. SPG completed its review and
recommended the purchase of $2 million worth of equipment. The recommendation was implemented resulting in
the highest ROI in company history.
